The Nockalm route
For nature lovers, the drive into the Nock mountains is a memorable experience. The nearly 35 km long Nockalm road opens up on an area with exceptional scenery along gently winding curves and is a partner of the Carinthia Card.
Horse riding opportunities at the Katschberg
Cross-bred horses, Haflinger horses and ponies are available for horse riding and equestrian sports. Individual lessons, long reining, horse riding for children, and many other activities — to the heart's delight of any horse lover.
The Mölltal glacier
With the Carinthia Card you get free rides (ascent and descent) with the Mölltal Glacier railway to a beautiful ski resort even in summer. Driving time is about 2 hour.

The adventure trip with the Reisseck funicular will take you right into the heart of the rocky world of the Reisseck mountain range. Enjoy the unique panoramic view over the Italian Alps to the Grossglockner.
The Choo-choo train runs through the Pölla valley nature reserve — a wonderful, car-free hiking area for families with children. Go for an easy walk with buggies or strollers or take a fitness march with a baby backpack carrier along the banks of the Lieser stream.
The Maltatal-Hochalm road leads to the biggest man-made dam in Austria and to a gorgeous hiking area in the National Park Hohe Tauern. The Malta-Hochalm road is fully tarred and is open for two-lane traffic with the exception of two specially regulated sections. The road ends on at the huge Kölnbrein barrage. Ample parking is available. For hikers, it's the ideal starting point for excursions to the Osnabrück Cabin, the Kattowice Cabin or to the Hafner.
