Ever since there have been Kinderhotels, the 1. Baby Alpine Inn Kerschhackl has also been in operation. What luck. Otherwise so much would be missing: the play-room and the jumbo-play area; the two secure play areas with bouncy castle, carousel, roofed sand box, and baby swing; the climbing tower with slide, rope slide; the tricycle Grand-Prix, the Indian camp...
No doubt the animals that live here, would still be here -- just not in a petting zoo. The awesome (Monday through Friday, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) parties, Indian celebrations, river-side bonfires, the singing, dancing, and pony rides etc, would, admittedly, still need to be invented. But with their rich trove of innovative ideas, the Pirker family already has "null problemo". For example, the Kerschhackl is the only "All-Inclusive-Inn" in the National Park. And when the Pirkers say inclusive, they do mean inclusive: first the tremendous breakfast buffet, and then evenings, a menu of choices with 4 courses, naturally! Not to mention the mid-day snack at the buffet, cake in the afternnon, all the alcohol-free drinks from the soda fountain, ice-cream time for the children, and the picnicking on the Alm during our group hikes.
Child care is also included for 6 days a week, and rest and recreation at the indoor swimming pool with with a wading pool and sauna. A blissful hour spent on the sunbathing meadow will also only cost you a (weary) smile...
